And now for an unsettling recent update: Google’s new Demand Gen Video Tool.

Starting October 31, 2025, Google will automatically generate video ads from your existing image and text assets in any image-only ad groups created before August 27, 2025. These auto-made videos will serve across multiple channels and aspect ratios whether you asked for them to or not to.

According to Google, it’s meant to expand reach effortlessly. In practice, we’ve seen what these auto-generated videos can look like from Google’s earlier experiments and let’s just say they didn’t exactly scream “professional law firm.”

Our take: Opt out while you can. The quality and tone of these automated videos are unpredictable, and in a profession built on credibility, that’s a risk not worth taking. Before Halloween hits, double-check your campaign settings and disable any auto-generated video options.

October’s full of tricks and treats, but when it comes to your marketing campaigns, let’s avoid the scary surprises.
Stay compliant, stay consistent, and keep your firm’s brand looking sharp.

If you’re seeing a new Gemini button show up in Chrome (or at the top of Google Search), you’re not imagining it. This is a deliberate push.
